UPPER SKAGIT BALD EAGLE FESTIVAL

AND

SKAGIT RIVER BALD EAGLE INTERPRETIVE CENTER

The Festival and the Interpretive Center thanks the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) for their support in providing Eagle Viewing Sites and Eagle Watching financial support.

You, the Eagle viewer, can support the WDFW by supporting the "Watchable Wildlife" program.

Click here or on the image to the left for the WDFW main home page.

You can also call 425-775-1311.

This Vehicle Use Permit is required to park at more than 200 WDFW sites, including the great eagle viewing site in the Bald Eagle Natural Area on Martin Road in Rockport.

The cost of this pass is 11.95 and is good from April 1 through March 31.

Purchase of this decal supports Wildlife Programs.

The money is earmarked for activities that benefit wildlife viewing activities in Washington. Wildlife viewing is one of the fastest-growing recreational pursuits, providing a significant economic boost to the state. Funds would be used to maximize this benefit, while at the same time assuring that the wildlife that is being viewed is protected from disturbance.

The term “wildlife viewing activities” includes but is not limited to:

Initiating partnerships with communities to jointly develop watchable wildlife projects
Building infrastructure to serve wildlife viewers
Assisting and training communities in conducting wildlife watching events
Developing destination wildlife viewing corridors and trails,
Tours
Maps
Brochures and travel aides
Offering grants to assist rural communities in identifying key wildlife attractions and ways to protect and promote them.
