Eighty-seven
years ago Carl Blade was a blacksmith, earning his money
from repairing horse-drawn carriages. But Carl Blade was
sharp to recognize that it wouldn't be long before his
business would be supplanted... by the automobile.
Ever a
visionary, Carl Blade saw an opportunity, and seized it. He
bought a Ford dealership in LaConner, WA in 1913. The photo
to the right shows him with one of his customers sporting
the history-making Model "T". |
